WioKey Authenticator Companion

SUMMARY

WioKey replaces costly hardware security keys with a free app-based solution always on you. This extension is a companion app and requires the WioKey app available on Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.wiosense.wiokey&hl=en) and iOS (coming soon). Currently, WioKey allows you to use your biometrics or phone password/PIN for 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) with all web services that have support for hardware security key 2FA logins. Additionally, WioKey supports FIDO2 passwordless logins with Microsoft accounts, Windows PC login and other FIDO2-compliant web services. The latest version of WioKey Authenticator Companion is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 113 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-09-08.

HOW TO INSTALL WioKey Authenticator Companion FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download WioKey Authenticator Companion CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
