Do you need to store sensible passwords in an cloud environmemt like EverNote, Confluence, DropBox, Dokuwiki?... It seems secure until someone break security. And then your passwords are exposed. This project is a chrome extension that encrypt your passwords using local resources or using a php code acting as a API. Additionally, you can select the encrypted text and decrypt directly to the clipboard using the right button. This software comes with no warranty and his purpose is to add a securyty layer if you have to expose your sensible information like passwords in a cloud and more vulnerable site.

The Encrypt / Decrypt plugin extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2023-10-04. At the time of removal, it had 283 users. The initial version was launched on 2017-06-28.

HOW TO INSTALL Encrypt / Decrypt plugin FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Encrypt / Decrypt plugin CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
