SUMMARY

This is a very simple tool that when clicked it converts the URL of the tab you have open into a QR code as a PNG file. The size of the PNG is 999px x 999px and uses the largest error correction. It was created for a warehouse stock system that uses a URL in the form of a QR code to pick and ID stock items. The tool being used was slow and unreliable, using this is faster without clicking options every time a QR code is needed or waiting for an ad pop up times out. This extension is useful for quick QR codes to use on posters and for promotional media that points to a URL.

The latest version of FAST! URL QR Code Generator is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 30 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-10-28.

HOW TO INSTALL FAST! URL QR Code Generator FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download FAST! URL QR Code Generator CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
