GitHub compare helper

SUMMARY

Manually typing the GitHub compare url takes too much time. Use this simple UI add-on to do it much faster!

Note:

Works the same way GitHub compare urls are normally generated i.e. from the first SHA of a commit to (but not including) the last SHA of a commit. This means the generated compare url will, for branches, include the top selected commit but not the last selected commit (but the commit before). For pull requests it is the opposite.

The latest version of GitHub compare helper is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 35 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-05-24.

HOW TO INSTALL GitHub compare helper FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download GitHub compare helper CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
