Embolden

SUMMARY

A reading assistant for people with reading difficulty. A selection of text can be fetched from any page open in a browser and presented in an extension window; divided into easy to read segments, with the first letter of each word made bold. The color scheme has also been optimised to be the most readable contrast possible.

The latest version of Embolden is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 2 active users. The initial version was launched on 2024-08-24.

HOW TO INSTALL Embolden FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Embolden CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
