Weather Widget

SUMMARY

Created a Simple Google Chrome Extension for getting current weather.

User needs to search for proper city, and extension will respond back with Local Time
Temperature and Weather Description.

Extension in back end calls an API which in turn calls an API from weatherstack.com (free).

Currently the response output is not altered.

The latest version of Weather Widget is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 140 active users. The initial version was launched on 2021-01-09.

HOW TO INSTALL Weather Widget FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Weather Widget CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
