Codenames Assistant adds a notepad in the red team's sidebar.

Codenames Assistant adds two buttons to each card, as well as when a clue has been given:
- Merriam Webster (MW) Button
Opens a new tab to the Merriam Webster definition of the given clue/card.

- Wikipedia (W) Button
Opens a new tab to the Wikipedia page of the given clue/card.

- Clue Notifications
Codenames Assistant sends a browser notification when a new clue has been given.
You don't need to keep checking the Codenames tab to see when there's a clue.

The latest version of Codenames Assistant is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-12-28.

HOW TO INSTALL Codenames Assistant FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Codenames Assistant CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
