SUMMARY

This Chrome extension simulates the web app environments (User Agent and required APIs) of video streaming devices like set-top boxes, Tizen, PS WebMaf. It can be used for developers to use their desktop browsers to test web applications developed for those devices. When you have selected a simulator for a loaded URL for the first time, it remembers your selection, and use the selection next time automatically.

The latest version of Device Simulator is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 156 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-10-12.

HOW TO INSTALL Device Simulator FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Device Simulator CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
