HTTP to HTTPS

SUMMARY

An extension to automatically use HTTPS protocol when possible. When the extension is enabled, it switches insecure "HTTP" pages to the secure "HTTPS" alternative when the server supports secure communication. In oppose to the popular HTTPS Anywhere extension, this one does not have a predefined set of sites that support HTTPS protocol, instead, it evaluates the unsecured site upon the first usage. If automatic switching to HTTPS protocol for a website causes it to look broken, use the toolbar popup to add the page or the hostname to the exception list and reload the page in the HTTP protocol. 2. The latest version of HTTP to HTTPS is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 3,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-01-21.

HOW TO INSTALL HTTP to HTTPS FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download HTTP to HTTPS CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
