Gentle Alerts

SUMMARY

The extension will replace the interruptive browser alert window with a modal which won't force you to switch between tabs. It also prevents you from accidentally closing alert windows when you're typing. You can close the modal by pressing "Enter", "Escape", or "Space". The alert window also comes with a (disableable) audio chime and can be automatically closed after an amount of time.

The latest version of Gentle Alerts is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 33 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-03-21.

HOW TO INSTALL Gentle Alerts FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Gentle Alerts CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
