FavIdenticon for Google Docs

SUMMARY

If you have a bunch of Docs, Sheets, and Slides open in your tabs, the tabs can get so small that you can no longer see the document titles; just generic Docs, Sheets, and Slides icons. This extension gives each Docs, Sheets, and Slides document a unique favicon to make them visually distinguishable in a long row of small tabs. Over time you'll learn the icons for your favorite docs.

The latest version of FavIdenticon for Google Docs is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 2,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2018-10-01.

HOW TO INSTALL FavIdenticon for Google Docs FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download FavIdenticon for Google Docs CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
