SUMMARY

The plugin inserts a button next to the "Fork" button when you visit a GitHub repository. Clicking on it will open a new tab which will use the online tool to scan the forks.
This tool aims at increasing the discoverability of useful forks of open-source projects.
The criteria is simple: if a fork was created, but never received any other activity on its main branch, it is filtered out.
For sharing: the results can be exported as CSV, or you can point people to the quick-link URL.

The latest version of Useful Forks is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 757 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-01-21.

HOW TO INSTALL Useful Forks FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Useful Forks CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
