SUMMARY

AceArea is a Chrome Extension that allows you to use Ace Editor for editing code in a textarea field on a webpage. I developed this extension after getting tired of copying back and forth from a textarea to a text editor while coding. Features: - Multiple Cursors - Syntax Highlighting - Autocompletion - Themes - Much more! Usage: 1.- Click in textarea 2.- Press Ctrl+Shft+8 3.- Make changes in editor 4.- Press Ctrl+Shft+8 Note: To view settings press Ctrl+Q while the editor is open.

The latest version of AceArea is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 75 active users. The initial version was launched on 2014-12-17.

HOW TO INSTALL AceArea FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download AceArea CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
