SUMMARY

YAM is an open-source, privacy-focused website manager. You create a list of allowed websites, and this extension will block access to all pages that are not in that list.

The list is synchronized through Chrome to all of your devices, so you can log into Chrome with your child's account, add or modify entries in the list and they will synchronize in near real-time to a child's computer.

You can also choose to block all content from other sites, but this requires a more complex configuration since many pages require content from other sites to operate correctly.

The latest version of YAM Allowlist Manager is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 607 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-06-19.

HOW TO INSTALL YAM Allowlist Manager FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download YAM Allowlist Manager CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
